“Emanations” are an ongoing series of new gold leaf and glass works that Michael W. Barnard cognized in the process of deep meditation experiences during the isolated depths of the COVID pandemic of 20201-21. These 12″ x12″ x 3″ constructions consist of layers of glass, gold leaf, paint and other materials.
Photofields are photographic arrays made from images taken by Michael W. Barnard in the course of his travels. Each Photofield can take years to find its final form. These arrays are printed on archival papers using archival, permanent pigment inkjet technology and then mounted on Dibond (a relatively lightweight but highly stable aluminum/PVC honeycomb sandwich).…
