“Field2Autumn” is the 2nd film of the Field Film series. It continues Barnard’s exploration of the world around him through the lens of his ever-present 16mm Bolex. In this film, collaborator Mary Ann Covich films Barnard filming her. The film was shot in primarily in various locations around the Northwest, but mostly in Spokane, Washington, “Field2Autumn” features a complex, multi-tracked soundscape incorporating original material created by Barnard, along with some sampled material, including an early Folkways recording of the Balinese Monkey Chant.
