“Field3Spring” (1970) is the 3rd film in the Field Film series and was shot primarily in Spokane, Washington while Barnard was an instructor of Drawing, Painting and Modern Art History at Ft. Wright College of the Holy Names.

This film was an early exploration of the nature of time, as well as exploring the relationship between identical sequences shown with and without sound. Therefore half the soundtrack consists of silence, while the other half features heavily manipulated samples of Indian shanai music.
